LIGHTS OUT NIGHT: notice to all members (and one non-member)

STATUS: ON.

Notice to all members of THE LAMP THAT'S ALWAYS ON, Unofficial Fan Club, and to the Lighthouse Keepers of the Web, who have kindly agreed to observe it with us:

1. Tonight is Lights Out Night, the one night of the year on which the Draught sends its page to every keeper on the ring, and on which, according to the minutes of every previous year, the lamp stays on regardless.
2. Members are asked to post the time at which they checked the lamp, and its status, in this thread, in the format STATUS: ON, followed by the time.
3. Member 0001 (myself) will check at the top of every hour, as the founder, the treasurer and the phone tree.
4. Members are asked not to engage with the Draught, which is not a member, and whose membership application, received annually, remains under review.

STATUS: ON. 18:00.

Light check from the tin: torch on, bearing as listed, 18:30. Sailors on the late watch, write your times below mine; I will be up.

For the record, the Lighthouse Keepers have received the Draught's page as usual. It has been filed with the other years'.

STATUS: ON!!! 20:15!!! I CHECKED IT TWICE!!!

FACT CHECK (BECAUSE I DO NOT MAKE UP FACTS): IN ALWAYS ON THE LAMP RUNS ON OIL AND A WICK AND A GLASS!!! NOBODY HAS EVER SEEN A SWITCH!!! NOBODY HAS EVER SAID THERE ISN'T ONE EITHER!!! THE CODEX SAYS IT IS LEFT UNSAID ON PURPOSE AND SO IS MY SHRINE!!!
